Officially founded in 1959, Café Santiago was, over time, undergoing several renovations, leaving at present almost nothing of its original decoration. The current owners, Mr. Fernando Pereira and Mrs. Isabel Ferreira, acquired the entire establishment in 1993, giving a new life to the space.
Café Santiago is now a traditional Portuguese restaurant that is already a case of national and international notoriety due to its famous Francesinhas. Francesinha Santiago has always been her main reference.
