Going to Casa Guedes is a tradition for Porto people, and the tavern has been a gastronomic icon of the city for locals and visitors for over three decades. And if the space has gone unnoticed before, today there are queues to taste the best sandes de pernil with Serra cheese! The business evolved so well that today they already have three restaurants.
What is their secret to success? Roasted Papo Seco, roasted pernil, special sauce, and melted sheep's cheese. The owners suggest a glass of wine to accompany your meal that you should finish with a slice of cheese covered with jam. Among other delicacies, enjoy bolinhos de bacalhau, caldo verde e papas de sarrabulho, as well as other garnishes to the sandwiches, such as paio de porco preto or salpicão.
Open every day, at weekends until 2:00 pm. It has a take-away service.
