Ponte do Infante

The Infante Dom Henrique bridge, also known as Infante Bridge, is a road bridge connecting the Fontainhas area, in Oporto, to the Serra do Pilar, in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Inaugurated in 2003, this bridge was baptized in honor of Infante D. Henrique, and was built to replace the upper board of the bridge D. Luís I, which was meanwhile closed to traffic to give way to the yellow line of the Oporto subway.

Due to its characteristics, this bridge is considered by the world experts as one of the most slender in this type of bridge.
